Who we are

Clauseworks is led by Idrees Naeem, a solicitor of England and Wales who advises businesses on their commercial contracts. Idrees has worked both in private practice and in-house. Working inside a business taught him what a contract has to do in practice: be clear to the people who use it, protect the business where it matters, and get agreed without weeks of back and forth.

What we are, and what we aren't

Clauseworks Limited provides commercial legal documentation and advisory services to businesses in England and Wales. Clauseworks is not a firm of solicitors and is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Our work is carried out by Idrees Naeem, a solicitor of England and Wales who remains personally bound by the SRA Standards and Regulations, including the Code of Conduct for Solicitors. Because Clauseworks is not an SRA-authorised firm, you cannot claim on the SRA Compensation Fund, and the SRA's minimum insurance terms for authorised firms do not apply; Clauseworks holds its own professional indemnity insurance of £2 million per claim. If you are unhappy with our service, please tell us first; if we cannot resolve your complaint within eight weeks, you may be able to refer it to the Legal Ombudsman. We do not undertake reserved legal activities under the Legal Services Act 2007 (such as litigation, conveyancing or probate). Where a matter needs a regulated firm, we will tell you upfront and refer you to a trusted partner where appropriate.
